A Beacon to your generation

A sad commentary to this is some people believe this is who they are and reluctant to change (repent) to improve themselves and follow the words and actions of the prophets and apostles. I counsel many people that have "decided" they cannot change and "decide" they are right and the leaders of the church are "wrong" or "just don't understand".

However, the very positive commentary is that when a person in a group decides to change and becomes one with Christ and the teachings of the prophets and apostles they become a "breath of fresh air" and a beacon to their generation. We see these folks around us and are drawn to them.

We all have challenges to cast off the "natural" man/woman such as jealously, anger, greed, selfish, backbiting, etc. and become the new person. We take a step each day to change. It will not happen overnight or without an attitude change and the humility to accept your faults and not blame others and then to overcome them. I tell people about the ABC's of repentance. This is another story I will save for later.

We have been taught that when a person repents they do not commit the sin again even in their own mind.

May you be blessed with the ability to move forward in the Lord's kingdom and share with others this important message of the gospel that one can change and become Christ-like.

Dad
