Happy Birthday Mason!

Mason turned 4 years old yesterday and had a Blue's Clue birthday.
We went to a couple of stores to check out cakes (we couldn't find a Blue's Clue cake) and Mason decided on a chocolate cake. There was a really cute light chocolate cake with dots on it and it looked yummy. We asked the baker for a taste of the frosting and after tasting the frosting Mason decided on the triple chocolate cake. Good choice Mason!

Dad took the boys out for some fun time at Stonefire during lunch where they played and ate pizza, hotdogs, ice cream and other delights.

Later, I took them to a fire station and it was great because we were able to see a fire truck leave the fire station in response to an emergency car accident. One fireman put on all the gear they must wear during a fire and the boys were a bit scared to see the fireman covered from head to toe with a mask on. Ryan liked the fire chief's car the best.

Mason's dinner request: spaghetti, strawberries, blue jello and salad

Ryan got Mason a fun car (unfortunately it broke so it will need to be returned)

A brotherly thank you hug for the car!
Happy 4th Birthday Mason!
Mason is a wonderful young fellow with a lot of determination and desire to do well. He loves to go swimming and although he is very cautious, he's trying like the 'Little Engine that Could ' and is making progress. He certainly hurries and gets ready when it's time to go to classes at the Y and is currently in soccer, flag football and swimming. It's pretty hilarious to see these little children running after each other to pull flags off each other --- or just run without any direction.
Mason reminds me everyday to do "school work" and he's zipping through a couple of workbooks really quickly because his attention span for a 3-4 year old is unbelievably long and he seems to find great satisfaction in learning. When we play match game of capital and lower case letters he generally wins (well, keep in mind my terrible memory). He also tells me when I'm driving the wrong direction.
You're a gem Mason - Happy Birthday!
love, TuTu
