Grateful Tree
"Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others." (Cicero)
We filled the "grateful trees" with ornaments of gratitude this holiday season. Ryan, Mason, Sherman and i wrote 2 things we were grateful for every day. A few things Ryan was grateful for were: going to the YMCA, church, movie, Dad was able to visit Gavin, learning how to calm down, yellow bananas, Sonic, ToysRUs and zoo.
A few of Mason's grateful ornaments were: home, snow, kid's corner at the YMCA, bath, visiting dad's office, Ryan can go to school, tell people what you think, making gingerbread cookies, happy dad.
ok, being grateful is not an easy concept but so imperative in living the Gospel and interaction with others. Hopefully, all these little activities will reinforce this concept.

Hi Ryan and Mason, I am glad you are learning about the principle of being grateful. There are many adults that I meet in my business and personal activities that cannot express even the simple words of "thank-you". I always wonder why and it seems that they have not learned what the Savior taught to people to be grateful and unfortunately do not remember what their parents taught them to be thankful.
love Ye-Ye
What a cute idea!
